Juan Sebastian Vasallo
Juan Sebastian Vasallo was born in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina. He studied music at the Conservatory of Music "Felix T. Garzón" (Córdoba, Argentina), where he graduated in 2007 with the title of Professor of Piano at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina), graduating in 2008 with the title of Professor in Music Composition, and in 2009 made a Graduate Program in Cultural Management at the Faculty of Economics at the National University of Cordoba.
Founder and director of the company JSV MUSIC (www.jsvmusic.com), specializing in the production of music using virtual instruments, and contemporary resources from computer science, applied to musical creation.
He works as a pianist actively participating in solo concerts and chamber groups. He has performed as a soloist or chamber musician in halls in the United States, Spain, Chile, and Argentina.
He has also received many grants and awards for his works. "Evolutions", his work for symphony orchestra, received the Special Prix du Jury Conseil du Pas de Calais, in the 1st Franco-Argentine Musical Composition Contest, organized by Opal Sinfonietta Orchestra, City of Boulogne Sur Mer (France). He has been granted by the UNESCO-Aschberg Programme for Featured Artists worldwide, and by the Foundation IBERMÚSICAS, to make artistic residences in the USA.
He is currently Assistant Professor at Teacher Training Institute in the city of Villa Mercedes, San Luis, and works as a composer, producer, and keyboardist for popular bands of various genres and styles, including Orbes (Lyric Pop), Los Inmortales (Tango Quartet), and TRIVIUM (jazz trio).
