Cuong Huy Nguyen

Originally from Viet Nam, Cuong is an interdisciplinary artist with specialties in dance, music, and visual arts. He graduated from Goucher College in 2014, with a BA in Individualized Interdisciplinary Major, combining his passions in dance, music, and film. Cuong is working on his MFA in Digital Arts, also at Goucher College. Cuong has performed works by distinguished dance artists, including Darrell Grand Moultrie, Meredith Rainey, Dianne Coburn Bruning, Trebien Pollard, Doug Elkins, Nicholas Leichter, and many more. His works in dance, music, and visual arts have been accepted into various festivals, including ARTSCAPE, Triskelion Collab Fest, American College Dance Conference, and AKIMBO. Cuong’s works in film were featured consecutively in the Baltimore Best Student Films Festival in 2013 and 2014. Cuong was also commissioned by several dance artist and companies, including Linda Garofalo, Deep Vision Dance Company, The Collective Dance Company, as well as his Alma Mater to compose music for different dance works.
